Southwold is a popular seaside resort facing
the North Sea in the county of Suffolk, East Anglia.
One of its most noticeable landmarks is the imposing
white Victorian lighthouse which stands among
rows of houses, and is visible from many parts of the town.
Southwold has a large and impressive parish church
which is dedicated to St Edmund who was king of
East Anglia, St Edmund succeeded to the throne in 855.
