St Beuno’s Church,Culbone
This charming old Church is not one of the easiest churches to visit, I walked to the church from Porlock Weir, along a coastal path which I found challenging in places.
Culbone Church has been described as “the smallest complete parish church in this country,” it has a total length of 35 feet and has seating for 33 people. [1] Parts of the building are possibly Saxon and date back before 1066 A.D. [1] The Churchyard Cross which is missing from the earlier photographs was put on to an existing 15th c. base in 1966, and the small spire is thought to have been added about 1810. [1]
