Blackpool in Lancashire has long been a favourite British holiday resort. Blackpool Tower is probably Blackpool’s most famous landmark, opened in 1894, and it's still a popular tourist attraction. There are three piers, a pleasure beach and trams still run along the front.
A tram ride is a great way to see the annual Blackpool Illuminations, a free light show, that attract a large number of visitors to the town each year.
