Ambleside
Ambleside is a busy town in the Lake District, popular with walkers and well known for the curious little house built on a small bridge over Stock Beck. This one up and one down building is now owed by the National Trust who use it as an information centre.
Lake Windermere a large nature lake which is very popular with tourists is close-by.
Among the many walks around Ambleside is one to Stockghyll Force – a picturesque waterfall close to the town.
