Taking Great Snaps on your Camera Phone

Enjoy your Camera Phone

Mobile phone cameras have come a long way since starting out as a fun way to take slightly blurred pictures and sending them to your friends. Some now come close to matching the digital point and shoot cameras that are sold on the high street.

Today many people have a camera in their pocket ready to capture the moment. It's not unusual to see mobile phone pictures on television news programs or to see mobile phone cameras being used to take the traditional holiday snaps.

If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.”
Robert Capa 1913 - 1954

At the moment they tend not to have the features and resolution you would expect on a stand alone camera, but it’s true to say that the person taking the photograph still has a major part to play in the quality of the images.  With any camera the lighting conditions and how far you are away from the subject are important, and some experimenting maybe necessary to get the best shot. Do not discard the photo till you have a chance to see it on your computer, the larger image and a little editing can make a world of difference.

"Like the people you shoot and let them know it".
Robert Capa 1913 - 1954

It’s not hard to image a day in the not too distant future when a mobile phone will be all you need to take the family photos, in the mean time have fun and enjoy your phone camera, it can give you a memory that will last a life time.
