This site has a growing collection of photographs and pictures of the United Kingdom, many are scans of old postcards or photos taken by tourists and holiday makers, most are over fifty years old.

Because of the age of the photographs it’s not possible to guarantee that the titles and descriptions are always correct many times I have to rely on pencilled notes on the back of the photos or descriptions in old photograph albums.
The quality of the photos and pictures vary greatly, some of the postcards are beautiful especially the Photocrom ones and some of the photos are simply holiday snaps which time has not been kind to, I have included both on this site as they both give us a glimpse into our recent past.
